AFP Gets Sanford Business Privilege Tax Repealed

Congratulations to our Lee County Chapter who did a fantastic job getting the Sanford City Council to repeal the controversial Business Privilege Tax. Our local leaders have worked for two years and the victory was a long time in coming. Our Lee County members worked hard to educate the public and make this an important issue in the recent city elections.

While this is just one victory in one city, it shows what Americans for Prosperity grassroots activists can achieve if they stay committed to reducing the size and scope of government on every level-- local, state and federal.

This is our first victory in 2010. With your help we can win many more battles. We are continuing to work to defeat the health care takeover, cap-and-tax bill and other liberty killing, tax raising proposals
