National School Choice Week Film Screenings and Q&A in Atlanta, January 25
ATLANTA – While public schools across Georgia fail to meet state and national education standards, Americans for Prosperity Foundation-Georgia is educating the public on the benefits of empowering families with the freedom to choose the best education options for their children.
As part of National School Choice Week, AFP Foundation-Georgia will host multiple screenings of the new documentary film, “Making The Grade In Georgia” and a Q&A on Wednesday, January 25.
At a time when American schools are failing to prepare children for the modern workforce, we need to take steps to ensure that America will become a global leader in education. This film and the accompanying discussion will explore ways we can support the teachers and schools in Georgia that are succeeding, and reform those that are failing.
“It’s time to put children and parents first in the education policy debate, not the bureaucrats and special interests,” said Virginia Galloway, director of AFP Foundation-Georgia.
One of nearly 50 events taking place across the country during the week of January 22-28, the Atlanta film screenings and Q&A sessions will kick off at 2PM on Wednesday, January 25 at the Sloppy Floyd Building in the Georgia Room at 200 Piedmont Avenue, Atlanta, directly across from the State Capitol. The film will show at 2, 3, 4 and 5PM and legislators, lobbyists and the general public are invited to attend.
