AFP-Missouri State Director: Carl Bearden

Carl Bearden is State Director of Americans for Prosperity, Missouri Chapter. Former Rep. Bearden, represented part of St. Charles County (District 16) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Bearden served in a number of capacities during his tenure in the House.
He was the Speaker Pro Tem and Chairman of the House Budget Committee. Rep Bearden chaired the Joint Committee for Legislative Research His awards include Certificate of Appreciation – Children and Family Service Authority of St. Charles County, Certificate of Excellence – St. Charles Ambulance District, Heroes for Mental Health – Crider Center for Mental Health, Our Love for Kids Just Keeps on Growing Award – SSM Cardinal Glennon, The Crystal Wagon Children Champion Award – SSM Cardinal Glennon, The Francis (Bud) Barnes Outstanding Legislator – Missouri Library Association, Bronzed Campaign Hat Appreciation Award – Missouri State Troopers Association, Certificate of Appreciation – Elks Veterans Services Commission, Friend of Agriculture – Missouri Farm Bureau, County Advocate - Missouri Association of Counties, Distinguished Legislator Award - Missouri Community Colleges Association, Freshman Legislator of the Year – 2002 – National Republican Legislator Association, Missouri State Trooper Association – Legislator Award, Voice of Missouri Business – Associated Industries of Missouri, Legislative Awards - St. Louis Business Journal, and the Lewis and Clark Statesman Award(s) – Regional Commerce and Growth Association.

Carl has been married for 35 years to Debbie Bearden. They have two daughters, Amber (Mike) Chavez and Allison. They reside in St. Charles, Missouri where they are active in First Baptist Church -Harvester and other community organizations.
