Join our Watchdog Program!

Americans for Prosperity organizes groups of citizen activists who will stand for a freedom-based
agenda of economic growth, individual liberty and a Constitutional government. Citizen Watchdogs
are leaders who are willing to commit to following their city, county, school district, state legislators and other elected officials and holding them accountable to the voters.

We believe that when enough citizens get involved, elected officials pay attention!

AFP will work with you to...
* Use the Freedom of Information Act to obtain public records.
* Know how to talk to your elected officials.
* Use new media tools to get your message out.
* Testify at hearings on legislation that will affect your freedom and prosperity

Heather Liggett's SBOE Rally/Press Conference was mentioned in the New York Times article "How Christian Were the Founders?".
"...Over two days, more than a hundred people — Christians, Jews, housewives, naval officers, professors; people outfitted in everything from business suits to military fatigues to turbans to baseball caps — streamed through the halls of the William B. Travis Building in Austin, Tex., waiting for a chance to stand before the semicircle of 15 high-backed chairs whose occupants made up the Texas State Board of Education. Each petitioner had three minutes to say his or her piece."
