AFP Foundation Exposes Radical ‘Media Reform’ Group Free Press, Using Their Own Words

One of the groups pushing for taxpayer-funded national broadband Internet, Free Press, is led by people who have called the United States a “terrorist institution” and called for the “overthrow of the capitalist system.” These quotations and more are revealed in a new report from the Americans for Prosperity Foundation.

Free Press is holding an event Feb. 17 on Capitol Hill to pressure the Federal Communications Commission on their national communications priorities.

"The so-called media reform group Free Press deceptively positions itself as a defender of our free press. In reality, they are for everything but a free press and are one of the nation’s leading advocates for sweeping new government controls of our entire communications system: television, radio, newspapers, and the Internet,” said Phil Kerpen, vice president for policy at AFP Foundation. “While claiming to be a consumer advocacy group presenting ‘bold, practical’ policy recommendations, Free Press is actually motivated by an extremely deceptive left-wing ideology.”

The AFP Foundation report, which educates Americans on the true intentions of Free Press, is a compilation of quotations from Free Press’s own leaders. It can be found here: http://static.taxcutsforall.com/files/Free_Press_Boldly_Deceptive.pdf
