State Capitol in OKC and at Tulsa's Veteran's Park, Oklahomans from all walks of life will rally together responding to CNBC's Rick Santelli's call to protest this gross negligence in government spending. Watch the video here: http://www.taxpayerteaparty.com/.
Who: Everyone is invited
What: A nationwide Taxpayer Tea party
When: Friday, February 27th at 11 am
Where: Oklahoma state capitol AND Tulsa's veteran's park at 21st and boulder
Enough housing bailouts, enough bank bailouts, enough bailouts PERIOD! People who played by the rules and paid their own debts shouldn't be forced to pay for other people's bailouts. It rewards bad behavior and encourages more bad behavior. We support Rick Santelli's call for a Taxpayer Tea Party to defend our country's founding free-market principles.
Phil Kerpen’s Article: (link http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/2009/02/24/kerpen_madoff/ )
"When will enough be enough? When will people who played by the rules, accepted the consequences of their own risk-taking, went to work every day, paid their own mortgages, and paid their taxes say they’ve had enough of carrying the folks who won’t pull their own weight?
"Last week, CNBC’s Rick Santelli gave voice to a seething frustration shared by millions of Americans when he called for a new Taxpayer Tea Party to reassert a belief in the basic fairness of our founding principles. I can only hope his revolutionary spark becomes a wildfire and forces our political class to change course."
As part of the Nationwide Chicago Tea Party they will be joined by Americans in New York City, Washington, DC, Houston, Los Angeles, Oklahoma, and Chicago, in a show of united opposition to bailout plans.
On February 17th, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which has sent the national debt into the trillions of dollars and jeopardized the American way of life.
The message: All these government bailout initiatives amount to reaching into our pockets and indebting our children in order for the government to spend its way out of a crisis that uncontrolled spending and intrusive government controls on the economy caused in the first place.
After several trillion dollars poured down the hole of inefficient, bloated corporations, who really needed the tough medicine of bankruptcy reorganization, we say that enough is enough! Like the over-taxed Colonies over 200 years ago, we are stepping forth to show our displeasure. To President Obama and Congress we Americans shout in unison, "ARE YOU LISTENING?"
Over 420,000 Americans signed AFP's NoStimulus.com petition, but did our Congress listen? Did our president listen? No. Oklahoma's Congressional Delegation (except one) thankfully listened and rejected the "spending" stimulus. We maintain, that as a nation, you cannot spend your way to prosperity!
Get fired up and we'll see you at one of these events. You can read more and register here if you like on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/s.php?k=200000010&c1=3. Spread the word!!
