Pictures from the Atlanta Tea Party

Hundreds of activists braved the pouring rain last Friday, Feb. 27th, for the Atlanta Tea Party. Arranged in less than a week among several conservative organizations, the event was a protest of the mortgage bailout in particular, and all outrageous federal spending in general. The Atlanta Tea Party was one of over 30 held nationwide, inspired by Rick Santelli's spontaneous outburst on CNBC the previous Friday. Activists gathered in front of the State Capitol at Noon, and were joined by several State legislators and elected officials. Many expressed surprise at the large turnout considering the weather.
