MILWAUKEE – Americans for Prosperity today announced the speaker line-up for its Defending the American Dream Summit, to be held Saturday, March 7th at the Midwest Airlines Center. Included in the list are U.S. Representatives, state elected officials, and prestigious community members. The speakers will cover a wide range of topics, and the breakout panels will focus on property rights, taxes and the state budget, accountability, the death tax, educational choice, and the Governor’s Task Force on Global Warming.

“We’re very excited to host such a high caliber list of speakers,” said AFP State Director Mark Block. “These speakers all recognize that Wisconsin needs to make some serious changes during this time of economic uncertainty. Their expertise and insight will give everyone attending the tools necessary to change the direction the state is headed and put Wisconsin back on the path towards prosperity.

The speakers and panelist will include: Congressman Paul Ryan, 1st District, Congressman JimSensenbrenner, 5th District, Steve Moore, Editorial Board Member for the Wall Street Journal, Herman Cain, Joe the Plumber, Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, Judge Randy Koshnick, candidate for Supreme Court, Rose Fernandez, candidate for State Department of Public Instruction, radio talk show host Vicki McKenna and Pat Snyder, State Representative Jim Ott, 23rd District, Robin Vos, 63rd District, Leah Vukmir, 14th District, Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, Senator Alberta Darling, 8th District, Mayor of Superior Dave Ross, and property rights expert Fred Kelly Grant.

In addition to the great line up of speakers and presenters, Friday night will feature Joe the Plumber, sponsored by the Conservative Young Professionals of Milwaukee, at Bootleggers from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Last year, over 500 people were in attendance at the Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s Defending the American Dream Summit to hear from notable speakers such as Congressman Paul Ryan, Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, and Dinish Dsouza. This year, Americans for Prosperity, a related organization, is serving as host of the annual Summit.

“This is a great chance for everyone to meet some great people, hear some expert speakers, and learn more about the state of our State,” said Block. “I think Wisconsin citizens are looking for answers in the midst of these tumultuous times-- if so, look no further.”
