Reconciliation means changing the rules to let a health care bill hitch a ride in the budget process to thwart the regular process, ignore Scott Brown's election, and the will of the American people. Regardless of the political games being played in Washington, Senator Kay Hagan needs to base her health care vote on what’s best for the people of North Carolina- not what’s best for building consensus in Congress.

AFP is urging concerned North Carolina citizens to rally outside the Wilmington Hilton Riverside Hotel on Friday, March 5 th and tell Senator Hagan to keep her hands off our health care and to urge her to reject reconciliation and vote against the proposed health care bill.

North Carolina taxpayers have made it clear they don’t want a health care system that limits their choice and strains their family budgets. If Hagan joins the reconciliation bandwagon, she will be turning her backs on the constituents who elected her and doing a disservice to her home state.
