Governor John Kasich, bold leaders in Ohio’s Legislature, and tens of thousands of tea party and AFP activists are working to balance Ohio’s budget by cutting spending and passing tough but critical reforms.

Conversely, liberal politicians, government unions, and special interests are demanding higher taxes and increased spending for themselves and their ideology - all while private sector unemployment still runs high.

Here's just some of what Governor Kasich’s Jobs Budget and reforms proposed by bold Legislators would do:

• Create a job-friendly environment that will make Ohio more competitive and bring jobs back to our great state

• Balance Ohio’s budget and solve its $8 billion budget hole without reaching further into taxpayers' pockets

• Bring government pay and benefits in line with private sector pay and benefits

• Give local governments more flexibility in managing their workforce and budgets

• Give Ohio’s families more educational options by expanding school choice

• Allow schools to hire, pay, and promote teachers based on merit

• Allow seniors to be cared for in their homes instead of forcing them into nursing facilities

• Coordinate care to improve results under Medicaid while making it more cost efficient and effective

• End Ohio’s outdated and overly-burdensome estate tax
