Hundreds Gather for "Hands Off My Health Care" Rally in Hackensack

Several hundred AFP and Tea Party activists gathered today in Hackensack at the district office of Congressman Steve Rothman for another successful "Hands Off My Health Care" Rally.

Activists chanted "kill the bill" while AFP State Director Steve Lonegan urged them to help defeat the bill, saying "We need to tell Steve Rothman, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid we don't want them making our health care decisions."

Protesters targeted Congressman Steve Rothman (D-9) who voted for the House bill in November and plans to now vote for the Senate bill.

Many at the rally were upset that Congressman had pledged to vote against any health care bill if it rationed care or funded abortions -- provisions that are in the Senate bill Rothman supports.

Activists went to Congressman Rothman's office and signed petitions pushing the Congressman to vote "NO" on the bill.
