It’s Not Over: Government Health Care Reform and What You Can Do To Stop It! - By Martha Zoller

“It’s far from passing the Senate. There are at least two points of order. If you think there is one vote and it’s over, you are wrong.” Sen. Orrin Hatch, (R-Utah)

After the 2008 elections, it was apparent the average American, or at least 53% of us, forgot basic economics and American history. When the Stimulus was passed in February last year, we woke up. Since then, Americans have been using the tools the Founders gave us to fight their government. The fight is not over, regardless of what the vote is on Sunday or Monday.
Obamacare, if passed, will be the first time a person will owe the government money just by being born. This cannot stand and we cannot stop the fight. This is our John Paul Jones moment, “We have not yet begun to fight.” The American Dream is at stake here. The Dream is not being wealthy. The Dream is having the opportunity for your children to have a better life than you did. That Dream is at stake under the weight of a government that is too large and indifferent to the people it governs. This is unsustainable.

So what needs to be done? Cut the budget by one-third, get real reforms in entitlements and revenues and change the tax code. I am a FairTax supporter, but regardless of the reform you support, taxes on productivity are not the 21st century way of doing things. A lean government reflecting the Constitution is the only way to go. It is not too late. Our economy is still three times bigger than any other in the world and when you factor in the investment that is on the sidelines right now, the opportunity is endless. However, this government is doing everything it can to suppress this economy and kill the American Dream.

What can you do? First, drive your car with your lights on this weekend and next week as a part of the "Obama See the Light on ObamaCare" Driver Protest. Second, sign the "NovemberIsComing.com" online petition and join over 100,000 signers that have signed in the
first 48 hours! Finally, attend and bring friends to the Defending the American Dream Summit next Saturday, Mar 27 where we will be launching the "conservative counter-offense strategy" to take back America in November! (http://gadefendthedream.eventbrite.com/).
