The Annapolis “Tax Day Tea Party” is part of a nationwide citizen protest against government bailouts, budget deficits, and Congress’ complete disregard for taxpayers. This event will take place April 15th (Income Tax Day) on Dock Street Boardwalk in Annapolis at Noon. We are putting this on to let Maryland elected officials know that we are not happy about the status quo and would like to see a change.
The Annapolis “Tax Day Tea Party” is a local segment of a nationwide protest that is promoting liberty as opposed to big government and over-spending. The “Tax Day Tea Party” is nationally sponsored by Top Conservatives on Twitter, the Don’t Go Movement, Smart Girl Politics and will occur simultaneously with other “tea parties” around the country. In Maryland, I am organizing the event with the help of Americans for Prosperity-Maryland, Del. Don Dwyer, Severna Park Republican Women and radio host Sean Casey. Our goal in Maryland is to let our representatives know that bailouts, budget deficits and big government solutions will NOT fix our economic crisis. I believe that hard-working Marylanders want innovative solutions to these problems which include accountability from our elected officials, and free market ideals that reward hard work and playing by the rules. This is the time to show the world that America, and Maryland, can lead the way out of this crisis through liberty and free market principles.
I hope you will join us on April 15th to let the politicians in Annapolis and Washington know that we are not happy and want a change of course. If you need more information please contact me at (443) 366-2736 or annapolisteaparty@gmail.com. We anticipate a media presence so please make sure you bring a friend and a home-made sign! Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you at the Tea Party.
Regards,
Aaron Jones, Annapolis Tea Party Organizer
