Thirteen candidates running in Congressional primaries participated today in a Candidates Forum co-sponsored by Americans for Prosperity and the Political Club for Growth.
Candidates were given five minutes for presentations and five minutes to field questions from moderators State Senator Michael Doherty and AFP Vice President of Policy Phil Kerpen.
Conservative activists ranked their top three candidates, with the following results.
District 6 candidate Anna Little took first place with 272 points.
District 4 candidate Alan Bateman placed second with 139 points.
Candidate David Corsi, who is running in the hotly contested 12th District, finished third with 122 total points.
Corsi’s District 12 competitors, Mike Halfacre and Scot Sipprelle scored 78 and 74 points, respectively.
Incumbent Congressman Leonard Lance (D-07) received 3 points.
Other candidates participating in the forum included District 2’s Linda Biamonte (7 points), District 9’s John Aslanian (59 points) and Michael Agosta (6 points), District 7’s David Larsen (41 points) and Lon Hosford (13 points), District 3’s John Rullo (4 points).
Democrat Omar Dyer of the 13th District rounded out the field and garnered zero votes.
