Sen. Coburn Address AFP in Tulsa

Monday, March 9, Senator Tom Coburn was the keynote speaker for a breakfast fundraiser in Tulsa. There were about 130 attendees by invitation only from hosts Dan Keating and Bob Sullivan. Dr. Coburn did a fantastic job! His insight and common sense approach to solving our current fiscal problems were refreshing, and charged everyone's batteries for the fight ahead!

Sen. Coburn commented, "AFP shouldn't have 10,000 members in Oklahoma...it should have 30,000!!" You can't argue with the good doctor on that one. The point was made over an over that we, as individuals, must stay involved and engaged if we're going to change Washington or our own state.

Dr. Coburn discussed issues ranging from earmarks, to stimulus spending, to excessive taxes, to bailouts. There was nothing off limits, and no one could argue with the Senator's sound judgment on these issues.

Dan Keating and Bob Sullivan deserve special recognition for their efforts in getting their colleagues to the breakfast. They did an awesome job and everything ran very smoothly. We all ate too much, but other than that, it was a great event.
