MILWAUKEE – As Governor Doyle continues to propose tax increases, free market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity is bringing campaign icon “Joe the Plumber” to the Badger State on June 25-26 as part of its Wisconsin Prosperity Tour.
“Joe the Plumber,” who gained notoriety during the 2008 presidential campaign as a no-nonsense conservative voice, will help spread the message that Wisconsin elected officials need to tighten their belts just like Wisconsin taxpayers are forced to do.
“The people of Wisconsin are a lot like me,” said Wurzelbacher. “They realize that ‘enough is enough’ and that it’s time for politicians to use some good common sense when making fiscal decisions.”
Wurzelbacher will be in Wausau on Thursday, June 25th to take part in an evening of political discussion dubbed “Pints & Politics,” and at Mr. Ed’s Tee Pee Restaurant in Tomah for lunch on June 26th. Both events are open to the public.
