Today was a huge day for AFPNJ we had two major events happen in the same day. Our first event of today was our Petition drop off at Governor Corzine's office in Trenton. I can say as I write this post I am happy to be a part of AFP based on our response to our petition drive, we were able to hand deliver a little over 12,000 Petitions to a very shocked Governor’s aide. What really got her was that this was not all of the petitions that we had, at that very moment I had hundreds arriving at our AFPHQ in Bogota.
But this is only the first step, in order to win this fight we need to keep up the pressure. These petitions that we delivered showed that we are here and we will keep them in check. Again this new budget they are trying to secretly pass is full of new taxes that will affect everyone in New Jersey. So please visit taxpayerminute.com to sign the petition.
Below are some pictures of the drop off in Trenton.
The second major event was Senior Policy Director Steve Lonegan’s first meeting back at Americans for Prosperity New Jersey. The meeting was an organizational meeting for our south Jersey activist. The meeting was held at the Point Diner located in Somers Point NJ. We met with our core group of activist, to get them ready for the coming fight in the next few weeks.
Here are some pictures of Steve’s first meeting back.
