On the Road from the Hot Air Tour in North Dakota

Last night in Fargo, at least 220 grassroots activists cheered on North Dakota’s Public Service Commissioner, Kevin Cramer, as he explained just how badly Cap-and-Trade would hurt their state by killing energy sector jobs, increasing gasoline prices to $5 or $6 a gallons and raising utility bills for families by almost double. This scenario is not unique to North Dakota. It is a real possibility for all of us if we do not defeat this massive energy tax.

Just about every person there signed our petitions to Senator Dorgan and Senator Conrad – petitions we will turn in by hand to the Senators on the day after Labor Day, before the final vote on Cap-and-Trade in the Senate.

Just after midnight this morning -- as we drove down Interstate 29 from Fargo, North Dakota to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for our next Hot Air Tour Event-- I came to the conclusion that we are going to defeat President Obama’s Cap-and-Trade scheme…

If, we tell the truth about this job killing, tax increasing legislation and if we are willing to out-work and out-fight our opponents on the Left.

On Wednesday, we’re holding a morning event in Sioux Falls and then wrapping up this 3rd Leg of the Hot Air tour with a rally in Omaha, Nebraska.

I wish that each of you could see and feel the energy and camaraderie at these rallies.

Make no mistake, this battle on Cap-and-Trade is far from over. Tough challenges lie ahead.

We need you to continue putting the grassroots pressure on your elected officials telling them to vote NO on the energy tax scheme known as Cap-and-Trade. If you're looking for a good place to get started, click HERE to send an e-mail to your elected officials.
