Americans for Prosperity Foundation to Convene 2nd Annual RightOnline Conference Focused on Strengthening Conservative Web 2.0

RightOnline Conference Counters Netroots Nation in Pittsburgh, Aug. 14-15

Michelle Malkin, Pat Toomey, and Others Available for Media Interviews
As liberals mobilize their massive online following to champion Big Government policies being discussed in Washington right now, the grassroots free-market group Americans For Prosperity Foundation will host the nation’s foremost new media experts, leading voices of the conservative movement, and hundreds of citizen activists at its second annual RightOnline Conference in Pittsburgh on April 14 and 15.

“As the last few months demonstrate, American citizens are more energized and engaged in the public policy process now than they have been any other time in recent history,” said AFP Foundation President Tim Phillips. “In this political climate, conservative online activism is becoming one of the most effective venues for voicing frustration about the government's appetite for more wasteful spending in the midst of this tough economic time.”

The Pittsburgh conference follows the highly successful premiere RightOnline Conference held in Austin, Texas last August, which marked the first effort by conservatives to counter the left-wing Netroots Nation Convention. The second annual RightOnline Conference will take on the group again this year—this time in the Keystone state.
