Grand Junction ─ The Colorado chapter of Americans for Prosperity has joined forces with a local grassroots Grand Junction group, the Western Slope Conservative Alliance for a Hands Off My Health Care Rally on Saturday during the presidential visit.

“Americans don’t need the government to dictate when and how they receive care,” said Jeff Crank, state director for Americans for Prosperity. “Health care legislation being pushed by the liberals in Congress will threaten the sacred relationship between doctor and patient and strip away patients’ rights to choose a plan that best suits them.”

Patients First opposes any government intrusion into American health care and supports expanding health insurance options focused on patients.

At the rally, activists can sign the Hands Off My Health Care online petition, http://www.joinpatientsfirst.com, which urges lawmakers to oppose any legislation that imposes greater government control over health care and results in less choice for patients.

The event is free and open to the public.
