North Carolina “Hands Off My Health Care” Bus To Return to Send Key Members of Congress a Message

Tour Will Give Citizens Last Chance to Send Congress a Message

Tour To Hit Key House Members, Send Hagan Message From Taxpayers

Raleigh. – As members of the North Carolina Congressional Delegation prepare to return to Washington D.C. after their legislative recess,  Americans for Prosperity’s Patients First Bus Tour will again hit the road making sure that members hear loud and clear the message sent throughout August. “ Hands Off My Health Care.”

The tour will urge grassroots activists to speak out on behalf of patients and against a government takeover.

“As we have seen all across North Carolina Americans are fired up about health care, and the bus tour gives more people the opportunity to come out and get involved,” said Dallas Woodhouse, State Director of Americans for Prosperity and Patients First effort.

The tour will include grassroots activists, medical professionals, local officials, doctors and patients.

Citizens will be urged to call their senators, visit their district offices, and sign the Patients First petition. The petition asks all members of Congress to oppose any legislation that imposes greater government control over health care and results in fewer choices for patients and their families. It can be viewed at www.JoinPatientsFirst.com.

“These proposals would change everything about health care as we know it. Instead of patients and doctors making decisions, it would be government bureaucrats,” said Woodhouse. “We’ve got to let lawmakers know that the American people simply don’t want a government takeover of their health care.”

People who can not attend an event are encouraged to sign the petition at www.JoinPatientsFirst.com
