Daily News has now posted an update clarifying that while they are providing Van Jones with office space, they have not hired him back. So he is physically back at CAP, but not officially working for CAP at the present time.

This is my statement from this morning, which was based on the early, less accurate report.

As expected, John Podesta has reportedly hired Van Jones for the third time, back as a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. Podesta was also chairman of the Obama transition team that installed Jones as the Green Jobs Czar, a position from which he resigned under a cloud of scandal just days ago. His quick return to the Center for American Progress shows that his radical goals are consistent with the agenda of CAP, the progressive movement, and the Obama administration.
