Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to de-fund ACORN after overwhelming evidence of corruption surfaced over the past two weeks.
In spite of the the now infamous videos showing that ACORN is a corrupt organization, the vote was far from unanimous.
Seventy-five Democrats voted against de-funding ACORN, along with two Democrats who upheld the great Obama tradition of spinelessly voting “present.” Six Democrats and five Republicans did not vote.
Of those voting to keep ACORN on the taxpayers' bankroll, three were from Texas. Those three Texas traitors are:
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Houston), best-known for answering a personal cell phone call while taking questions from constituents at a recent health care forum.
Rep. Al Green (D-Houston), who proposed raising minimum wage to $8.20/hour and increasing that amount every four years.
Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Dallas), who has joined the throngs of lefties shouting "rascism" as the lone motivator behind critics of Obama's policies.
Friends, do you honestly believe these three have the best interests of their constituents at heart?
Not likely. And given their track record, it seems they only have their self-interests and special-interests at heart.
If you live in any of these three representative's districts, give them a call today and let them know how you feel about their unabashed support of a corrupt organization.
