For the past couple of months, AFP-Oregon staff and volunteers have been heavily involved in gathering signatures to refer the Legislature's job killing tax increases to the ballot. Given sufficient signatures (110,000 total to two measures), voters would be given the option of repealing tax increases that will cost Oregon 70,000 jobs.

Signature Turn-In, 9-25-09

Yesterday, AFP joined other members of the Oregonians Against Job Killing Tax coalition in turning in 250,000 signatures, virtually guaranteeing a January vote to repeal the job killing taxes. AFP volunteers not only produced the highest number of signatures of any volunteer effort, but also had a tremendous validity rate of 92 percent!
