- AFP-Nebraska has collected thousands of petitions across the state opposing government-run health care–

Tomorrow, Tuesday Oct. 20 at 12 Noon, Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska will present Senator Ben Nelson’s Omaha office with thousands of signed petitions from across the state requesting the Senator vote against any bill that increases the size and scope of the federal government, increases the cost of health care or limits health insurance options.

The current Senate plan, introduced by Sen. Max Baucus, does exactly what thousands of Nebraskans oppose. It imposes higher taxes, makes drastic cuts to Medicare, and provides more authority to the federal government to impose greater bureaucratic regulations.

Nebraskans from across the state have joined AFP-Nebraska in calling on Senator Nelson to oppose this plan. On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 12 Noon AFP-Nebraska will present these petitions to Senator Nelson’s Omaha office located at 7602 Pacific Street, Suite 205.
