Different Angles on the Health Care Debate
Don’t worry, AFPGA is still definitely against the current health care proposals being debated in Congress. This week, we’re bringing the debate to you from the individual state and the business perspective.

Thanks to a link provided by the GA Chamber of Commerce, we found a cost calculator for your business under the plan. From the website: "This calculator will simulate the extra cost to you as an employer of not having an available group health plan under the proposed 'Public Option' legislation. Action Item
Today our AFP President Tim Phillips is putting out a national call for Nov. 5th “House Calls.” Here in GA, we plan to focus on Congressmen who have not vehemently and publicly rejected the current proposals. Please let us know if you can visit your Congressman on Nov. 5th, and also respond to Tim’s email. We’ll see you at Bishop, Marshall, Barrow, or Scott’s district offices. More details to follow.
Events are popping up all over GA – Some are statewide, some are divided by region. Next Step Training events are two hour classes in civic literacy and effective grassroots policy activism. There is no charge for Next Step, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged.
