WINDHAM – Today Americans for Prosperity (AFP) New Hampshire is applauding the New Hampshire Supreme Court decision to make public the names and pension amounts received by retired public employees.
“The bottom line is what is done with public funds should be subject to public scrutiny,” said Corey R. Lewandowski, State Director of Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire. “Every person in New Hampshire has the right to know how public funds are being spent and administered.”
The ruling sets forth that both the names of the retired public employees and the pension amounts received are a matter of public information, as is the case with active public employees.
“I applaud the Court’s unanimous decision to make this information public,” Lewandowski continued. “This ruling represents a victory for New Hampshire’s taxpayers.”
