The Baltimore County chapter of AFP-Maryland is encouraging citizens to attend Monday's Baltimore County Council meeting to advocate for pension reform. Councilman Vince Gardina (D-5) will be retiring next year and will walk away with a 100% annual pension. If actuaries are correct, that could mean a $1.25 million "golden parachute" for the part time, 5-term councilman. The Baltimore Sun has editorialized for reform and reported on the facts.
