On Saturday night, Congressman Vic Snyder, D-Little Rock, and Congressman Marion Berry, D-Gillett, got the prescription for health care reform absolutely wrong. 

But don’t take my word for it.  Fellow Arkansas Congressman Mike Ross, D-Prescott, said the bill was “not a common sense plan that reflected Arkansas values.” Going further Ross said, “During this economic crisis, I believe we should focus on putting people back to work, not growing the size of the federal government with increased spending, new mandates and higher taxes.” 

Congressman Ross was RIGHT and he had the good sense to vote NO on this tax-raising, Medicare-cutting, government takeover of health care. 

How bad is this bill?  The Wall Street Journal called it “The Worst Bill Ever; Epic new spending and taxes, pricier insurance, rationed care, dishonest accounting: The Pelosi health bill has it all.” 

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce said, “Pelosi’s Health Bill. . .would make providing affordable health care coverage for employers and working families worse than today, it fails the health reform test.”

While our economy suffers with over 10% unemployment and people are losing jobs, Vic Snyder and Marion Berry rushed through a government takeover of our health care that will cost even more jobs and worsen the economy.  Exactly the wrong prescription for our nation.

So what is my prescription for Congressmen Snyder and Berry?  A big dose of Arkansas reality. 

Will you join me and thousands across our state in contacting Vic Snyder and Marion Berry with this message…You were wrong and we won’t forget!  Tell them:

• You were WRONG to vote for over $1 trillion in government spending.
• You were WRONG to pass a government run health care plan.
• You were WRONG to vote for a bill that has hundreds of new TAX INCREASES in a recession.
• You were WRONG to slash Medicare spending by billions, gut Medicare Advantage and pay for so-called health reform on the backs of senior citizens.
• You were WRONG to EXEMPT yourself from it, but make it illegal for us to say NO.
