David From, a happy warrior for the cause of economic freedom, is the new state director of Americans for Prosperity – Illinois.

David brings to the table more than fifteen years organizing grassroots, building legislative coalitions, and driving issue advocacy campaigns in Illinois. He joins AFP-IL after running his own public affairs and political consulting firm for the past five years with clients ranging from public-private utility partnerships to statewide and congressional campaigns. His resume includes consulting for Adam Kinzinger for Congress (IL-11), serving as campaign manager to former Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, and service on Capitol Hill and in the Office of the Governor. His knowledge of Illinois politics will provide a great resource to grassroots leaders in the Prairie State.

David graduated from Wheaton College (IL) and currently resides in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife, Allegra, and their seven children.

When David is not busy fighting for economic freedom, he enjoys baseball, spending time with his family and participating in his children’s homeschool education.
