President, health care numbers in free fall; TEA Party more popular than GOP, Dems

There are some interesting results out of the new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll that was released yesterday. President Obama's approval rating fell to an all time low (47% - under 50 for the first time in their polling) and support for the current health care bill is at an anemic 32%. But perhaps the most interesting result of all was party favorability. When given a choice, the 'TEA Party' party is seen favorably by 41%, compared to 36% for Democrats and 28% for the Republicans.

This poll may come as a shock to the establishment of both parties. While we are villified as 'astroturf' and 'un-American' by the politicians, rank-and-file Americans seem to like our message of less government and more freedom. In 2010 it is likely that the TEA partiers, you and I, will be the swing vote.

The mission is clear: we must continue to recruit fellow patriots to our cause. Power is in numbers. The more calls we make to our representatives, the more letters to the editor we write, and the more rallies we can attend, the more citizens will receive our message. This poll is a sign that what we are doing is working. However, we must continue the fight!
