Kansans travel to Omaha for health care rally

Americans for Prosperity organized an emergency health care rally on Sunday, Dec. 20 in Omaha, Neb., to urge Senator Ben Nelson to oppose the current health care legislation in the U.S. Senate.

With less than 24 hours' notice, 1,800 citizen activists from Nebraska as well as other parts of the Midwest hit the road for Omaha to take part in the rally and to hear from former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.

More than 50 Kansans took the time out of their busy lives -- the weekend before the Christmas holidays -- to make the trip and stand up for freedom and against government-run healthcare at Omaha Music Hall.

This emergency healthcare rally was covered by numerous local media outlets, including by some of our bloggers here in Kansas. You can read more at KansasWatchDog.

We sincerely thank the dedicated activists who were able to make the trip with such short notice.
