National Leaders Rate North Dakota`s Energy Efforts

North Dakota`s energy industry is really catching fire. It`s already the sixth largest energy producer and exporter in the country, but federal experts see the potential for even more growth.

Governor Hoeven hosted U.S. Assistant Secretary of Fossil Energy Jeffrey Jarrett and other energy leaders today in Bismarck to discuss the expanding role of North Dakota`s coal, oil and gas in the nation`s energy strategy. The Department of Energy says it`s looking for states that have ideas and plans on producing cheap power, while taking care of the environment at the same time. North Dakota may be on the right track.
