Americans for Prosperity held a “Day at the Capitol” on January 9^th with its local county chapter leaders, grassroots members, new media activists, and partnering organizations. Prior to visiting the Capitol, attendees gathered for a morning event at the Sangamo Club, which included a legislative update, the roll-out of AFP-IL’s 2008 legislative agenda, and the unveiling of Keeping Illinois Competitive: Prosperity in the Prairie State. After meeting at the Sangamo Club, grassroots leaders visited the Capitol to distribute copies of Keeping Illinois Competitive and AFP’s legislative agenda to lawmakers.
