AFP-Virginia Holds Town Hall Meeting in Fairfax

The Virginia chapter of the grassroots free-market group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) held a town-hall-style meeting on March 1 at the Courtyard Marriott in Fairfax. The event was focused on educating and organizing citizens to involve them in the public policy process.

Dozens of citizens joined Delegate Tim Hugo and AFP-Virginia State Director Ben Marchi for a discussion of the current fiscal issues facing the Commonwealth during the current General Assembly session. The $2 billion budget shortfall, as well as how legislators plan to work together to cut spending without raising taxes, were the main topics of discussion.
