I've got to hand it to you Jack Murtha. This guy has more questionable earmarks and ties to shady so-called civic organizations than you can shake a stick at.

The latest egregious Murtha earmark is $300,000 for the Belmont Complex. You can see its web site here. It's a pool and ice-skating rink in Armstrong County, Pa. It's admission charges are pretty hefty, and I suspect more than enough to cover operating costs. If they can't get buy on $77 per person for the pool and whatever they charge for ice rentals, well, I hardly think the federal taxpayers should pay to help.

The earmark is supposedly to improve handicapped access. Yet I already see a big wheelchair ramp in the picture on the web site, and I'm not sure any amount of federal dollars will make it practical for handicapped people to go ice-skating, but I'm no expert.
