CONGRATULATIONS to activists Kevin Ross, Fred Phillis, Jan Hibbard, Denna Ray, the Gilbert 912 Project, and many, many others in Gilbert who stopped the town council's triple tax increase. Great move by the Taxed Enough Already committee to collect petitions, which resulted in last night's action by the council to rescind the proposed tax hikes.

And thanks to Mayor John Lewis and Councilwoman Jenn Daniels for voting against the tax hikes in the first place.

This event is very convenient for those attending the protest against HR 3200 at Harry Mitchell's office (which begins at 9 am, at the SE corner of Camelback and Scottsdale). And they've told me that they'll have lots of water and iced TEA!
