-Signs No Climate Tax Pledge-

WASHINGTON-The free-market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) today applauded U.S. Senator John Thune for signing the group’s “No Climate Tax Pledge.” By doing so, Thune joins over 190 lawmakers on the federal, state and local levels pledging to “oppose legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.”

PIERRE- Today the House Committee on State Affairs passed out of committee House Bill 1233 which would establish a searchable online database for detailed searches of state spending. Such a system would allow taxpayers to keep an eye on how state government is spending the public's money.
