The Federal Communications Commission has moved to regulate the Internet – a move which makes them a regulatory vigilante.

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas), Ranking Member on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, today said new regulations adopted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) threaten the future economic growth of the Internet. Sen. Hutchison also said she will introduce a resolution of disapproval in an effort to halt the new rules.

There they go again, as Ronald Reagan would say. Congress – even a Democratic congress – refused to regulate the Internet, so Obama pushed for the Federal Communications Commission to do what he could not get Congress to do.
