TOPEKA—The Kansas chapter of the free-market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity (AFP-KS) today applauded U.S. Senator Sam Brownback for signing the group’s “No Climate Tax Pledge.” By doing so, Brownback joins over 180 lawmakers on the federal, state and local levels pledging to “oppose legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.”

TOPEKA-The Kansas chapter of the free-market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity (AFP-KS) today applauded U.S. Representative Jerry Moran (1st District) for signing the group’s “No Climate Tax Pledge.” By doing so, Moran joins over 180 lawmakers on the federal, state and local levels pledging to “oppose legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.” Other Kansas signers include: U.S. Senator Pat Roberts, U.S. Rep. Todd Tiahrt, 5 state senators and 14 state representatives.

With banks nationwide in need of still more money to prevent their collapse, and families around the country still struggling to make ends meet, it appears that those elected to represent us on Capitol Hill are more concerned with political wins and pork-style handouts than working to assure that the American economy is pulled from the dregs in which it currently resides.
