RALEIGH- Hundreds of grassroots activists from across North Carolina converged on the General Assembly to highlight issues that North Carolina State Legislative Leaders have refused to address.

At a press conference on the steps of Wilmington City Hall, grassroots members of Americans for Prosperity asked Wilmington City Council members to delay plans to arbitrarily annex Monkey Junction and other New Hanover County areas for a minimum of one year, or until the General Assembly acts on the issue of annexation reform.
