-Signs No Climate Tax Pledge-

PHOENIX-The Arizona Federation of Taxpayers, a state chapter of the grassroots free-market group Americans for Prosperity, today applauded U.S. Representative Trent Franks (AZ-2) for signing the group’s “No Climate Tax Pledge.” By doing so, Rep. Franks pledges to “oppose legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in federal revenue.”

Our impending grassroots victory on lifting the offshore drilling ban has nothing to do with the passage of the Pelosi bill in the US House of Representatives on Tuesday. Just the opposite: our victory is due to the fact that the Pelosi bill is going nowhere, and the fact that the drilling ban is set to expire automatically on October 1st.
