It is time for voters to stand up and tell their lawmakers enough is enough!

Americans for Prosperity and it's over 14,000 statewide membership has had had their voices heard! Lawmakers have responded, as it pertains to the need for transparency in state government. Americans for Prosperity's flagship piece of legislation HB 4765 flew out of the House of Representatives last week and passed 108-0! Read Daily Herald Editorial in support of HB 4765.

Americans for Prosperity has already secured senate sponsors in order to move the bill in the senate. We applaud Senators Kirk Dillard and Pam Althoff for taking the lead on HB 4765. As many of you may be aware, over the years under Senate President Emil Jones, similar legislation has been killed in the rules committee never to see the light of day. The Chairman of the Rules Committee, Senator Debbie Halvorson has been the hatchet person working under Senator Jones' direction to ensure that reform minded legislation is defeated before any public debate.

We encourage all citizens to contact their respective senators asking them to allow HB 4765 to be heard and voted on in the senate. Please take action NOW (Click here to take action).

Today's podcast will discuss the following pieces of legislation and up to date activities in Springfield:

HB 4765 (Senate Rules Committee)
HB 3860 (Pending floor vote)
HJRCA 42 (State Government Administrative Committee)
HJRCA ( Recall Amendment)
