The governor of Illinois has proposed spending $37 billion for a capitol improvement plan. AFP-IL’s opposition to this plan is well documented. Fortunately, the Illinois House of Representatives responded to our members concerns and all but killed the governor’s proposal at least until after the November 2008 elections.
