Day 2: Trip to D.C.

Day 2 was amazing.1st AFP President, Tim Phillips gave an introduction that morning... Focusing on what else, but PORK BARREL SPENDING! Afterwards, Art Pope Introduced Rudy Giuliani. Then we had our very own Senator Tom Coburn speak about earmark reform. Governor Mitt Romney came and gave his campaign speech. Then Dr. Andrew Messenger introduced Representative Ron Paul on to the stage. After Ron Paul spoke, Senator Sam Brownback gave his campiagn speech. The former Maryland Lt. Governor, Michael Steele spoke about the need for an organization like AFP. Then Governor Mike Huckabee came and gave his presidential hopeful speech.We had a breif break in the speakers and we did a state by state roll call where Stuart Jolly, AFP-OK Director, got up and yelled "Boomer Sooner" right at the Texas people. The Oklahoma delegation followed up with a "BEAT TEXAS!".

After that, John Stossel from ABC's 20/20 came to speak about his slow movement towards conservatism.
