MILWAUKEE – Tired of attack ads? Need substantive background information on Supreme Court candidates Justice Butler and Circuit Judge Gableman for next week’s election?
Visit Judgepedia.com, an online wiki-encyclopedia about all things related to America's judges and judicial system. Currently, the website is providing Wisconsin voters with detailed, easy-to-read information on the Supreme Court candidates and their court rulings.
“In an environment of smear campaigns, Judgepedia.com offers a refreshing and objective look that shows voters candidates’ backgrounds and judicial philosophy,” said Mark Block, state director of the Wisconsin Chapter of Americans for Prosperity.
A project of the Sam Adams Alliance—a non-profit organization based in Chicago—Judgepedia.com was launched in March of 2008 and remains in its beta stage.
“The purpose of Judgepedia.com is to offer the public accessible information on their state’s judicial system and judges,” said Michael Tams, project manager of Judgepedia.com. “Judgepedia merely allows a judge’s record to speak for itself.”
Americans for Prosperity, Wisconsin is a non-profit organization committed to educating citizens about economic policy and mobilizing those citizens as advocates in the public policy process.
