On Thursday, October 30th, State Director Adam Guillette will be discussing the $120 million sales tax increase with St. Johns County Commissioner Ron Sanchez at a public forum moderated by WOKV radio.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- There's a showdown over sales tax in St. Johns County.

American's for Prosperty say "the economy is slowing, unelmplouemnt is rising and the housing and financial markets are a mess. Now is not the time for a 120 million dollar tax increase."

Duval was at 6.6 percent, up from 4.3 percent a year ago. Clay was at 5.7 percent, up from 3.6 percent a year ago. St. Johns was at 5.7 percent, up from 3.5 percent a year ago. Nassau was at 5.9 percent, up from 3.5 percent a year ago. Flagler was at 10.3 percent, up from 7 percent a year ago.
