As food goes up, the public begins to question why. Some look to answers of weather and crops, oil prices in shipping, global warming or cooling... Although, everyone ignores that we are implementing a national pay-cut through an increase in minimum wage. Of course everything is going to go up! Every single minimum wage employee that was involved in the food industry is now making a lot more money. If he is paid more, the extra money has to come from somewhere.

Meanwhile, those who were making a bit above minimum wage are now becoming a minimum wage employee again... or they are closer to being minimum wage then what they were. So before the media begins to blame global warming or oil companies for the rising cost of food, take a look at Washington and the policies that are truly having an impact.
