Bring your homemade signs, and come and go as you please. Food and drinks will be provided, but any small contributions to help cover the costs would be welcome.

AFP-Kansas state director Derrick Sontag this week testified in favor of a debt ceiling bill. HB 2355 fixes the ratio of debt service to revenues available to pay off the debt to a certain amount.

Believe it or not, Kansas is the only state in the union that gives lawyers majority control over the process of selection justices. There are a few states that the bar has near control but there isn’t another state with the lawyers controlling the process.

Many Kansas lawyers just don't think regular old citizens should meddle in these affairs. We have around 9,000 lawyers and 2.7 million citizens in Kansas. Are lawyers really 300 times smarter than non-lawyers?
