Americans for Prosperity-Kansas has developed its 2009 Legislative Agenda. We support limited government and responsible tax and budget policies that force state government to live within its means.
READ MORETOPEKA – The free-market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity-Kansas released the following statement in response to the Governor’s FY 2009 and FY 2010 budget proposal:
“The budget proposal released today offers no real solutions for budget reform, leaving it up to the Legislature to demonstrate some leadership at this important time,” said AFP-Kansas state director Derrick Sontag. “This proposal uses accounting tricks and relies on one-time-only funding sources that serve as a band-aid approach to our budget situation.

READ MORETOPEKA – Derrick Sontag, Topeka, has been named state director for the Kansas chapter of the free-market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity (AFP).
Sontag, who most recently served as Kansas state director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), assumes the role Jan. 5. He will direct the organization’s efforts in lobbying the Legislature for limited budget growth, lower taxes and smaller government.
